Shekhar Misra

About

Shekhar Misra is a professor at Grenoble Ecole de Management and has earned his Ph.D. in marketing from Indiana University, USA. Broadly, his research covers two topics, (1) upper echelons research in marketing, and (2) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). He is interested in understanding the influence of the top management team (TMT), corporate board, and investors on the firms’ marketing-related decisions, investments, and outcomes. He is also interested in the antecedents and consequences of CSR and allied topics such as ESG, sustainability, and (un)ethical conduct. To study these topics, he primarily uses secondary data and employs econometric modeling techniques to draw empirically generalizable findings. Shekhar has published in leading marketing journals such as the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science (JAMS) and the International Journal of Research in Marketing (IJRM). Shekhar’s research has also been featured in practitioner journals such as Harvard Business Review (HBR). Shekhar also serves as an ad hoc reviewer for several marketing and management journals.
